Hi there, I’m Max, a 23-year-old guy from Germany who likes to embark on (mostly) human-powered trips around the world to connect with nature and interact with all the interesting people and cultures I meet on the way.

While I’m no diplomat kid I have roamed across the globe quite a bit, undertaking my first backbacking trip at age 18, first across Europe, and across Asia in the following years. Living the digital nomad lifestyle (I hate that term) for a while I have since had the desire to slow down, leaving the big cities behind and exploring the outdoors and countryside any nation has to offer. Not an easy task without a vehicle and often non-existent public transport. This eventually lead me to classic hitchhiking, and later to the bicycle.

You will always find me with a camera hanging from my shoulder, even though I have no background in photography, I was already 20 years the first time I ever picked up a camera. Street photography is what got me into it, the idea of capturing everyday life in an unposed way is simple yet fascinating. I have since dabbled into documentary and landscape photography, and aim to combine all these three on my travels. Hopefully these images inspire you to seek your own adventures and help create a deeper appreciation for the world’s beauty.

Now, why the ingenious idea of starting a blog in the year 2024 when all the action is on social media? Well, for once it allows me pursue a (potentially?) new passion for writing in form of travel reports, practical tips and gear lists (apologies if you come across some grammatical or vocabulary mistakes, English isn’t my mother tongue and I won’t be using AI). Additionially it offers me full creative control to curate my photography.
